yidago: John Florio: NYFD Engine 214 This is the man my son John is named after.  John Florio and his wife Shari were two of our closest friends.  John was one of the first responders and was killed when the second tower fell.  Everyone who died that day trying to save others was a hero but I just want you to know that John was a great man regardless of what he did that day.  He was always kind and always giving.  He never said a bad word about anyone and was always willing to lend a hand. Hopefully my John will grow up to be the kind of man John Florio was.  RIP
